PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To instruct the traveling way of a vehicle at a specific spot ahead of the vehicle at a picture displaying part without imposing any confirming work being an excessive load on the crew of the vehicle, or generating the temporal deterioration of the power of concentrations of the crew. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a video camera part 40 for image picking-up the front part of a vehicle in a prescribed range, and for generating an image pickup output. Then, when it is detected that the vehicle reaches a spot with a prescribed distance left until the specific spot on a set traveling route indicated by set route data based on map data, present position data, and set route data, a video signal based on the image pickup output related with the scenery ahead of the vehicle including the specific spot obtained from a video camera part 40 and traveling direction instruction data indicating a direction instruction mark for instructing a direction to which the vehicle should traveling at the specific spot is supplied to a picture display part 30. Moreover, this device is provided with an operation control unit 20 for setting a state in which a picture obtained after the direction instruction mark is superimposed on the scenery ahead of the vehicle including the specific spot is displayed in the picture displaying part 30. |
