PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress vaporization of zinc in sintering and to improve magnetic permeability. SOLUTION: In the producing method for an oxide magnetic material having high magnetic permeability, a source material is prepared by adding 0.01 to 1 wt.% MoO3 to a Mn-Zn ferrite material having the compsn. of 50 to 58 mol% Fe2O3, 12 to 47 mol% MnO, 3 to 30 mol% ZnO as the main component, and then the source material is calcined. In this method, the temp. raising condition for calcination is 200 to 600 deg.C/hr at >110 deg.C and the oxygen concn. during this process is 0.01 to 5%. The sintering temp. is controlled to >=1300 deg.C and the calcination holding period is 5 to 30 hours. The oxygen concn. in this period is controlled to 15 to 40%, preferably 25 to 35%. In this oxygen concn. range, vaporization of zinc from the surface is suppressed, and the change of the calcined body compsn. is decreased, thus increasing the initial magnetic permeability. |
