PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arrangement for removing ash containing water from a pit comprising a scooper means elevating/lowering along a track. SOLUTION: The inventive arrangement comprises an elongated track 277 having one end located closely to a pit 272 and a second end located at a higher position spaced apart from the first end, a scooping means having first mode for holding ash 272 and second mode for discharging ash 272, an elevator means for moving the scooping means along the track 277 between a first underwater position on the bottom of the pit 272 in the vicinity of the first end and second position above water in the pit 272 in the vicinity of the second end, and a control means connected with the scooping means and shifting it from second mode to first mode at the first position and from first mode to second mode at the second position. |
