PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display items requested by the user at a current position and at a current time by using a mode acquired by position information or date and time information for a keyword, acquiring an information menu from a correspondence list which corresponds thereto and displaying the information menu on a telephone set. SOLUTION: When 'weather forecast' is selected on a menu by using an entry section 101, the telephone set uses a data communication section 104, which connects with a server to send acquired information consisting of position information 'base station A' and the selected 'wether forecast' information to the server. The server retrieves information corresponding to the 'weather forecast' and the position information 'base station A' from an information database. The 'weather forecast of base station A' as a result of the retrieval is sent back to the telephone set, where the result of retrieval is displayed. When the telephone set makes similar scanning within an area of a base station B, information of 'the weather forecast of base station B' is displayed on a screen of the telephone set. When the user selects information of 'news flash', an information acquisition request of the position information 'base station A' and the 'news flash' is sent to the server.
