PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for virtually adding a PCI configuration area, which is not owned beforehand by a PCI(peripheral component interconnect) agent device by operating a bus transaction, and for extending a PCI function based on the information of the extended PCI configuration area. SOLUTION: A PCI function extension control circuit 1 monitors the transaction of a PCI bus 101 and a PCI bus 102, and output a switching control signal to a bus switch 4 at accessing a desired configuration area. The bus switch 4 receives the switching control signal from the PCI function extension control circuit 1, and disconnects or connects the PCI bus 101 and the PCI bus 102. The PCI function extension control circuit 1 outputs a desired PCI control signal to the PCI bus 101 or the PCI bus 102.
