PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of a facsimile terminal and to reduce the cost. SOLUTION: The facsimile terminal is provide with a carrying path 200 to carry an original, a 1st read sensor 207 and a 2nd read sensor 208 that disposed on the both side of the carrying paths and respectively read each image on both sides of the original to produce image data, and an image processing section that process image data of the image read by the 1st read sensor 207 and by the 2nd read sensor 208. In this case, since each of both sides of the original can be read by using the 1st read sensor 207 and the 2nd read sensor 208 by having only to carry the original once, an inversion tray and an inversion path or the like to invert the original to insert the original to an insert port again are not required.
