PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the all-mode, all-band radio communication device which eliminates the need for quick adjustment of a sound generated by mode switching, etc. SOLUTION: A signal, to be selected and set by an operation part 7 is inputted to a control part 5 and a control signal, is outputted to a reception part 2 and respective parts. With this control signal, the signal received by the reception part 2 is amplified and detected by a detecting circuit 3, passed through a squelch gate 8, an A/D converter 9, a DSP 10, a D/A converter 11, and an analog attenuator 12, and amplified by an AF amplifier 13 and outputted from a speaker 14. The level signal obtained by DC conversion from part of the output of a carrier and noise detecting circuit 4 for FM and an AM amplifier 13 is extracted and is sent to a control part 5 and control in inverse proportion to the output level of a digital attenuator 10b is performed to suppress large voice output. The control of a voice control part 7c controls an analog attenuator 12, and when a mode selection part 7a selects FM, setting to noise squelch is made.
