PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect the edge of eaves of roof panels by making round the tip of a projected portion of a protection fittings for the edge of eaves and by folding back the edge to the side of attaching surface of an attaching portion. SOLUTION: A protection fittings 1 for the edge of eaves is attached to a roof unit 2 and used, the roof unit 2 is located above a building unit used as a space for occupancy thereby constituting part of a sloped roof of the unit building. To the surface side of the roof unit 2, a roof backing material 21 covered with a roofing material is adhered, and a fascia plywood 23 is attached to the eaves ceiling 22 and the edge of roof along the edge of eaves. The eaves protection fittings 1 are attached to both the sides of the eaves of roof unit 2, an attaching portion 11 faces and contacts the fascia plywood 23 having a triangular cross section provided at the edge of roof, a linking piece 16 formed by punching and folding is linked to an angle portion of the fascia plywood 23, fixed by wood screws 10, and the eaves protection fitting 1 is tentatively secured, positioned and fixed with wood screws by the linking piece 16. Also, a projected portion 12 is projected out from the edge of the eaves ceiling 22, its tip is rounded and folded back for not damaging the rope.
