PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyethylene resin composition capable of giving smooth surface of a pipe and prohibiting generation of gums even when molded at an increased linear velocity, though having a low MI, and a polyethylene resin pipe molded using the same with excellent surface smoothness and less fluid transport resistance. SOLUTION: The title polyethylene resin composition comprises (a) 99.9-99.999 wt.% of a polyethylene resin having a melt index of at least 0.01 g/10 min and less than 5.0 g/10 min, a density of 0.910-0.955 g/cm3 and a flow index of 50-1,000 (wherein the flow index is defined as a shear rate (sec-1) measured at 190 deg.C and a shearigg stress of 2.4×106 dyne/cm2 by a capillary rheometer) and (b) 0.001-0.10 wt.% of a fluorine-containing elastomer, each percentage being based on the total wt. of the components (a) and (b). |
