GAS DETECTOR

The present invention relates to a gas detector that comprises two flat and parallel conductive layers (1 and 4), a resistive layer (3) as well as a gas interlayer (5) provided between the resistive layer and the second conductive layer. This detector also includes a dielectric layer (2) provided between the first conductive and the resistive layers, wherein said layers contact each other at one point at least of their surfaces. One conductive layer at least consists of separate elements which are electrically isolated from each other. The detector may be of the symmetric type and may further include a second dielectric layer (7) as well as a second resistive layer (8) which are brought into contact with the already existing layers (4 and 5). Separate instruments may be assembled into a packet so that their conductive surfaces, either analogous or different, face each other.
