PURPOSE: An image forming apparatus with electronic photo type, process cartridge, developing apparatus, developing agent providing chamber, and measuring unit therefor is provided to decrease a measured error of components by detecting a residual amount of a developing agent at a real time. CONSTITUTION: A laser beam printer(A) has a photosensitive drum(7). The photosensitive drum(7) is electrically charged by a charging roller(8). A developing unit(9) has a developing agent chamber(9A) having a developing roller(9a). A developing agent in the developing agent chamber(9A) is provided to the developing roller(9a) by a rotation of a developing agent providing member(9b). A recording material(2) in a sheet providing cassette(3a) is provided to an image printing location by a pick-up roller(3b), a pair of providing rollers(3c,3d), and a pair of matching rollers. The recording material(2) is provided to a fixing unit(5) according to a providing guide(3f). The fixing unit(5) has a driving roller(5c) and a fixing roller(5d). The recording material(2) is provided to discharging rollers(3g,3h,3i) and is discharged to a discharging tray(6) according to a horizontal direction path(3j). |
