PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a quick return of a constant speed running device using an actuator equipped with clutch in case the clutch disengage condition is generated at the time of accelerative control. SOLUTION: A restitution to the accelerative control is to be made by opening a throttle valve returned to the full close position in case the clutch disengage condition is generated at the timing T2 during the accelerative control in conformity to an accelerative control command from the timing T1 for raising the memory car speed for constant speed running in the constant speed running control, and at this time the initial value IS at the time of valve opening control after the clutch is put in engagement is emitted upon being intensified from the output value during the accelerative control. Thereby the throttle valve can be opened large from the full close condition, and a quick return can be made, so that it is possible to favorably reduce the sense of incompatibility which the user is likely to have owing to the restituting motion after the car speed has sunk in association with clutch disengagement.
