TUBE SECTION HAVING ACCESS OPENING AND METHOD OF FORMING THE TUBE SECTION

A tube section for coupling in or forming a pipe line is disclosed which comprises a tube section (10) for which is cut a cutout (12). The cutout (12) can be located in the opening which is formed by cutting the cutout (12) so as to reseal the tube section (10). The cutout has a side edge and the opening has a mating side edge which define abutting ledges when the cutout (14) is located in the opening (12). A cover sheet (70) formed from acrylic material and having adhesive on one side is located on the cutout (14) when the cutout (14) is located in the opening (12) to seal the cutout (14) in place. The cutout (14) can be removed by simply peeling the cover sheet (70) from the tube section (10) to gain access to the cutout (14) and lifting the cutout (14) from the tube section (10). The cutout (14) can then be replaced when required and sealed in place by another cover sheet (70).
