PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining the number of granulocyte colony-stimulating factor receptors by amplifying RNA and so on in a sample using primers specific to mRNA of a granulocyte colony-stimulating factor receptor, followed by enumerating the factor receptors using a labelled probe, where the number can be used as a factor in cancer cell growth, and as an index in its treatment, and so on. SOLUTION: A method for enumerating granulocyte colony stimulating factor (F-SCF) receptors is provided which comprises the steps of preparing a sample which contains RNA, hybridizing RNA in the sample or cDNA prepared by using the RNA as a template with primers specific to mRNA of G-SCF receptor, amplifying G-SCF receptor gene, hybridizing the amplified gene with a probe which is specific to G-CSF receptor gene and is labelled, determining amplified G-CSF receptor gene, calculating the mRNA, determining quantitatively mRNA of G-CSF receptor in comparison with an inner standard amount of mRNA which is calculated by similar determination, and enumerating G-SCF receptors on cell surface from the amount. |
