PURPOSE: Aecdysteroid compound and a composition containing thereof are provided which improves the metabolism of alcohol. CONSTITUTION: Ecdysteroid compounds such as beta-ecdysone and polypodine B are able to be used to improve the metabolism of alcohol. And composition contains the ecdysteroid compound, additives for flavor or taste and another effective component for improving the metabolism of alcohol. The composition is prepared by mixing an effective amounts of the ecdysteroid compound with a suitable diluent.
