PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain highly satisfactory winding characteristics and electromagnetic conversion characteristics of a biaxially oriented laminated film consisting of laminated polyester layers, each layer containing particles of a specified compsn., by specifying the average particle diameters, layer thickness and particle content, in the layers. SOLUTION: The biaxially oriented laminated film has a layer A consisting of a polyester containing 0.01 to 1.0 wt.% particle X, and a layer B consisting of a polyester containing 0.01 to 1.0 wt.% particle Y, wherein the film satisfies the formulae I to V simultaneously. In the formulae, dx50 is the average particle diameter (μm) of the particle X in the layer A, dy50 is the average particle diameter (μm) of the particle Y in the layer B, ta is the thickness (μm) of the layer A, CY is the content (wt.%) of the particle Y in the layer B, and CX is the content (wt.%) of the particle X in the layer A. A magnetic tape is obtd. by using the polyester film described above as a base film and forming a magnetic layer on one surface of the film. The magnetic tape and guide pins consisting of at least one of the resins selected from polybutylene terephthalate, polyoxymethylene and polyamide are housed in the video cassette.
