A mounting for a vehicle door has two are (8,11) between the door and the door frame at the top hinge and two arms at the bottom hinge. The outer arm (8) has a limited outwards setting to swing the door outwards with a movement which combines the door swing and a parallel outwards displacement. This increases the space for the feet when entering and leaving the vehicle. From this first maximum setting, limited by stops (9) on the outer arms, the door is swung out further by extending the telescopic inner arms (11) while the outer arms remain fixed. |
