PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance efficiency of garbage fermentation/maturing treatment while preventing an offensive odor from being emitted from garbage. SOLUTION: This apparatus has a garbage treatment tank 30 for fermenting and maturing garbage provided in an interior of a casing 1, and in an interior of the treatment tank 30 an agitation means 31 for fermenting and maturing the garbage while agitating the same is provided, and the treatment tank is further provided with an exhaust means 89 for discharging an odor emitted from the garbage outside. In this case, a control means 29 for controlling the drive of the exhaust means 89 and the agitation means 31 are provided and the control means 29 is interlocked with the drive of the agitation means 31 so as to regulate exhaust amount by the exhaust means 89.
