PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a medium sliding noise caused by the pressure received from the sliding surface side of the medium as much as possible in an MIG (metal in gap) type magnetic head, in which the surfaces of ferrite cores facing to each other at a magnetic gap part are not paralled in a wrap tilt type magnetic head. SOLUTION: In the MIG type magnetic head 10, in which the surfaces of ferrite cores 11 facing to each other at the magnetic gap 14 part are not parallel, non-magnetic material 16 parts except the magnetic cores exposed to the medium sliding surfaces 15 are formed by the vapor growth method. This vapor growth method is a sputtering film formation method and the sputtering gas pressure at the time of forming a film of the non-magnetic material is >=0.8 mm and <=7.2 mm.
