An arrangement for dosing e.g. granulate material, explosives, gunpowder or other pourable substances, comprises a container (200) with a closure (500) and a dosing unit (300) with a measurement chamber (301). The closure is held in a closed position and can be placed in the open position using an actuator. At least one of the units which locks the closure in the closed position, prevents unintentional release of material. The locking unit keeps the dosing unit connected to the container as long as possible.
