PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing ceramic products as porous, lightweight large-sized construction materials while intending for productivity improvement and considerable cost reduction in the aspect of dealing with responding to the demand of many varieties. SOLUTION: This method for producing ceramic products including molded forms and sintered compacts comprises the following practice: in view of the fact that molding operation for these products has been conducted using metallic formworks or the like, therefore having been highly inefficient so far, paper molds made of paperboard or corrugated board are used in such molding operation, and in the case of no burning, ceramic products are set directly as the final products integratedly with their packaging materials, while for burning, compositions molded in paper molds are put, together with the paper molds, into a kiln and burned. Conventionally, there have been such problems that, in the curing/hardening in a formwork, long time is needed until a demoldable mechanical strength is developed, and damages including chippings often occur in demolding handling work; this method cuts the above time period to a fraction thereof, thereby effecting considerable productivity improvement and cost reduction. |
