PURPOSE:To make touch feeling obtained when a shift knob of an automatic transmission for an automobile is gripped by hand equal to that obtained when gripping a leather material and reduce weight of the shift knob by molding an outer body of the shift knob by foaming material. CONSTITUTION:In a shift knob 1 of an automatic transmission for automobile in which a knob main body 2 made of hard resin is covered with an outer body made of soft resin material, the outer body is made of foaming polyurethane and the like. The knob main body 2 forms a large diameter section 10 and a small diameter section 8 in a lateral hole 5 in which a detent button is inserted. The outer body forms a peeling prevention section by pouring a foaming material between the large diameter section 10 and the small diameter section 8 in the lateral hole 5 from an arbitrary position on an outer surface 14 of the knob main body. |
