PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce manufacturing cost and to form a matrix without a sintering process by forming transparent electrodes on an upper base plate from upper electrode patterns and black matrix patterns, and by thinly electroless-plating the transparent electrodes having the black matrix patterns with specified metallic materials. SOLUTION: Transparent electrodes formed of upper electrodes 110, 110', black matrixes 120, 120' are formed on a base plate 100 and then electroless- plated, and very thin metallic films 130, 130' are formed on the transparent electrodes having the matrixes 120, 120'. In this case, the front surfaces of the transparent electrodes of the catalyzed base plate 100 is very finely etched. The transparent electrodes of the matrixes 120, 120' on the base plate 100 are electroless-plated, and thin metallic irregular reflection films are formed on the etched parts of the front surfaces. As a result, a blackening phenomenon is generated on the front surfaces of the plated transparent electrodes, the transparent electrodes are opaqued, and the thin metallic films can be used for the black matrixes. |
