<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a PEN(polyethylene naphthalate) container subject to no heat distortion even if put in boiling water for a long time, repeatedly usable after washed with hot water including boiling sterilization, and excellent in low scent adsorption and gas barrier property. SOLUTION: This container is obtained by molding using a resin predominant in polyethylene naphthalenedicarboxylate, and satisfies at least one of the requirements described below: (1) the polyethylene naphthalenedicarboxylate constituting this container has a Tg of >=130 deg.C in such a condition as to be 0.3 wt.% in water absorption, (2) the polyethylene naphthalenedicarboxylate constituting this container has a Tg of >=110 deg.C in such a condition as to be 1 wt.% in water absorption, (3) the water absorption of the polyethylene naphthalenedicarboxylate constituting this container is <=0.5 wt.% after the container is subjected to boiling treatment with 100 deg.C hot water for continuous 100 h.</p> |
