PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress errosion caused by cavitation without increasing cost nor complicating structure. SOLUTION: This fuel injection device is equipped with a sleeve 14 formed with a spill-port 13 which releases a fuel passing port to be connected with a pressing camber fitted in each planger 11, an oil basin chamber 18 formed around the sleeve 14, fuel galleries 19 and 20 formed at both the sides of the oil basin chamber 18 along the lined-up direction of each planger 11 for leading fuel, and a timing rod 24 which is provided for the fuel gallery at one side of the aforesaid galleries, and can displace the sleeve 14. The device can vary an oil feeding rate in response to the displacement of the sleeve 14, and a flow passage area decreasing means is provided, which throttles one flow passage area out of the aforesaid fuel galleries.
