WAX COMPOSITION FOR INVESTMENT PATTERN

PURPOSE: A wax composition for a wax model is provided to obtain a wax composition for a wax model having high strength, fast solidification rate and stable dimensional accuracy by mixing terephthalic acid (benzene-para-dicarboxylic acid) with a substrate wax composition consisting of EVA copolymer, paraffin, carnauba wax and rosin so as to manufacture a precise mold having a dimensional accuracy which is strict to the wax model. CONSTITUTION: The precision casting wax composition for a wax model is prepared by mixing 11 to 100 wt.% of terephthalic acid with 100 wt.% of a substrate wax composition comprising 50 wt.% of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin, 38 wt.% of paraffin, 12 wt.% of carnauba wax. The precision casting wax composition for a wax model comprises 36.75 wt.% of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin, 28.5 wt.% of paraffin, 9.75 wt.% of carnauba wax and 25 wt.% of P.T.A (purified terephthalic acid).
