摘要 |
PURPOSE: A channel information management algorithm in a network is provided to guarantee the accordance of the channel information of a channel database by transmitting and receiving predetermined messages between both ends periodically. CONSTITUTION: If a health timer expires, a source channel manager sends an END_TO_END request message to a destination channel manager through a BBCP(BackBone Connection Processor). In order to prevent the loss of the message, the source channel manager transmits the END_TO_END request message up to three times. The source channel manager drives an ETOE ACK timer in order to transmit the END_TO_END request message up to three times. In case that an END_TO_END response message is arrived, which means that the same channel information exists, the source channel manager drives the health timer again. If the source channel manager fails to receive the END_TO_END response message during a fixed period of time, the source channel manager deletes information for a relevant channel from a channel database in order to accord channel information between both ends.
