METHOD FOR MEASURING MEAN PAGING RESPONSE TIME AND MAXIMUM RESPONSE TIME IN MOBILE SWITCHING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for measuring a mean paging response time and a maximum response time in mobile switching system is provided to set a paging timer by measuring a paging performing time when a paging response is performed. CONSTITUTION: A method for measuring a mean paging response time and a maximum response time in mobile switching system comprises the steps of: adding a pa RAMeter for a paging response time to a procedure defined in a Statistical Shared Library(STSL) block; obtaining a difference between a response point time and a paging try point time in a call process block; calling the STSL procedure as much as the difference; collecting the paging response time in the STSL block; transmitting a paging statistical data transmission request signal to a Mobile Statistics data Gathering for Call(MSGC) block; obtaining the mean paging response time and the maximum paging response time and transmitting them to a Measurement and Statistical Data Processing(MSDP) block; and outputting the mean paging response time and the maximum paging response time.
