A method and apparatus for controlling a mixing of fluids. The apparatus includes a mixing vessel and a first fluid feed line extending to the mixing vessel. A pump communicates with the first fluid feed line whereby a first fluid is pumped under pressure to the mixing vessel. A second fluid feed line communicates with the first fluid feed line. Either an eductor or a venturi is positioned at a junction between the first fluid feed line and the second fluid feed line, such that a quantity of a second fluid is drawn from the second fluid feed line into the first fluid feed line as the first fluid passes along the first fluid feed line. A first valve controls fluid flow through the first fluid feed line. A second valve controls fluid flow through the second fluid feed line.
