<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for charging the granular matter in a space by which the granular matter is stably and effectively charged for a long time. SOLUTION: The device for charging granular matter 11 in a space 10 to be treated, is provided with a clean space A having a photoelectron emitting material 3 for emitting a photoelectron 7 and an irradiation source 1 for irradiating the photoelectron emitting material with UV rays and/or radiation and having a dust removing means 12 for decreasing the fine particle density to <=one million units/ft3 and a granular matter charger B having a means 9 for supplying the photoelectron 7 generated in the clean space A to the space 10. The cleaning space 10 is preferably furnished with a means for decreasing the non-methane hydrocarbon concn. to <=0.1 ppm, a reduced-pressure or vacuum space can be used as the space to be treated, and the cleaning space 10 and supply means 9 can be integrated into one unit.</p> |
