PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key switch using a cup rubber portion for resource saving and cost reduction because of good recycling property and short-time machining in manufacturing processes. SOLUTION: A key switch, wherein an internal switch is turned on/off by the depression of a key top 1 from the outside consists of an up-and-down movable portion (stem) 2 connected to the key top 1 so as to be movable up and down and a cup rubber portion 3 formed of thermoplastic elastomer material and expanded in association with the up-and-down movable portion 2. The cup rubber portion 3 is preferably made of polyolefin based thermoplastic elastomer material. The thermoplastic elastomer material, in particular, polyolefin based thermoplastic elastomer material, is excellent in durability and separativeness in molding and material cost effectiveness. It is also excellent in recycling property and so it is well suitable for a keyboard in which 100 key switches are arranged in longitudinal and lateral directions.
