<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reuse an operation button to select a menu item when a menu is started and the device is operated by providing a menu navigation interface module which provides a menu of choice items for a user in response to a call of the operation button. SOLUTION: After the device is initialized when power source is ON, the menu/navigation interface software module 104 judges whether the navigation of an image or the navigation of a menu, navigation picture, or dialog box is necessary or not. The menu can be started by selecting an operation button of the device, such as a transmission button, a deletion button, a help button, and a tool button, i.e., a function button. When the user selects a menu item by using the navigation button, the choice is confirmed by using the same button as the operation button which was called to display the menu.</p> |
