PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio equipment having transmission directivity by which interference between users is suppressed and a communication available distance of a base station is increased and to provide the control method therefor. SOLUTION: An adaptive array 2000 separates signals from each user by multiplying a reception weight vector with radio wave signals received by antennas #1-#4. A reception power measurement circuit 2300 introduces radio wave signal strength from each terminal based on the received signal and the reception weight vector. Transmission weight vector control sections 2410, 2510 controls a transmission weight vector in response to the reception radio wave signal strength, that is, a distance between a base station and each terminal to adjust transmission power thereby reducing undesired interference on other cells.
