PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid outbreak caused by a conventional method by establishing an erection method for a panel outer mold having a friction cut performance, a bearing resistance as a form, and watertightness for protecting the box culvert side wall parts, forming a part of the box culvert body structure, and satisfying a requirement of noncorrosive performance, in contact with or close to earth retaining piles. SOLUTION: In a construction method by an open cut method for a box culvert 4 such as a manhole or a tunnel, after earth retaining piles 1 are provided and the soil inside the piles is excavated and removed, a watertight and noncorrosive panel outer mold 2 is erected in contact with or close to the earth retaining piles 1 so as to place concrete for constructing the box culvert 4, the concrete is placed after providing an inner mold 3 in its inside, the placed concrete and the outer mold 2 are integrated to be left in the ground, and the earth retaining piles 1 are pulled out. In this case, the outer mold 2 is so set that its face confronted to the earth retaining piles has small friction resistance.
