PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly precisely form a metal magnetic film only on the butting surface of a magnetic core half body. SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of a magnetic head constructed in such a manner that a metal magnetic film 7 or 8 is formed on at least one of a pair of magnetic core half bodies 2 and 3 and a magnetic gap is formed by butting the butting surfaces of the pair of magnetic core half bodies 2 and 3 to each other, the metal magnetic film is formed only on the butting surface of at least one of the magnetic core half bodies, the pair of magnetic core half bodies are integrally bonded via a non-magnetic layer 4 so that the butting surfaces thereof are opposed to each other.
