COPOLYCARBONATE AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

摘要

An aromatic copolycarbonate obtained by heating an aromatic dihydroxy compound together with a polyorganosiloxane and at least one member selected among aliphatic polyhydric alcohols and with a carbonic diester to conduct prepolymerization and polymerizing the resultant prepolymer in a solid state or swollen solid state using a quaternary phosphonium salt as a catalyst. The aromatic copolycarbonate is reduced in the contents of residual monomers, acetone-soluble components (low-molecular components), and cyclic oligomers and has a small proportion of terminal hydroxyl groups.
