PURPOSE: A method for hydrogenating conjugated diene is provided to allow hydrogenation in the presence of highly active catalyst under mild condition, perform continuous hydrogenation process in same reactor, and eliminate the need of ash removal step. CONSTITUTION: A hydrogenation method comprises hydrogenating homopolymer of conjugated diene monomer, or copolymer of conjugated diene monomer and aromatic vinyl monomer in the presence of catalyst represented by formula 1: formula 1, wherein, Cp is cyclopentadienyl group, R1, R2 and R3 are hydrogen or alkyl having 1-3 carbon atoms, are same or different. Using the method, one performs continuously hydrogenation process in same reactor.
