PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the recording density of an optical recording device capable of reducing damage of data caused by shift multi-recording. SOLUTION: An angleθto the direction ofωx axis in which shift multi- recording of a Fourier-transform image progresses is made to be 0 deg.<θ<90 deg. on an optical recording medium. A light-shielding body forming a rectangle light transmission part 21 is arranged in front of the optical recording medium, and signal light and reference light are transmitted through the light transmission part 21 and after being processed by Fourier-transform, the optical recording medium is irradiated with the both light. In such a manner, among four quadrants divided byωx-axis andωy-axis of the Fourier-transform image, only the components of one quadrant containing those on theωx-axis and theωy-axis are recorded in the optical recording medium. The Fourier-transform images painted out in black are the data to be recorded (or were recorded) first, the Fourier-transform images painted out in light gray are the data to be recorded (or were recorded) next and the Fourier-transform images shown by broken line without being painted out are the third data to be recorded (or were recorded).
