PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose an ink-jet recording apparatus in which a driving mechanism for an ink-sucking pump, a head-wiping elastic blade and a carriage-locking lock lever is constituted small and compact. SOLUTION: An ink-sucking pump 8, a carriage-locking lock lever 52 and a head-wiping elastic blade 53 of the ink-jet recording apparatus are driven by a common driving mechanism 7. The driving mechanism 7 transmits a rotating force of a single motor 51 to the ink-sucking pump 8 via a driving gear 74. The driving mechanism transforms the rotation to an oscillation movement of the elastic blade 53 via a rotary cam plate 75 frictionally engaged with the driving gear 74. Further, the driving mechanism transforms the oscillation movement of the elastic blade to an oscillation movement of the lock lever 52. Since each of the driving parts can be driven by the common driving mechanism, the apparatus can be small and compact in constitution. |
