PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wire of DC straight polarity excellent in arc stability in a low current to a high current, pit resistance, blow resistance in welding a galvanized steel plate by specifying a fusion speed of a wire and containing Ba compound, Al, Mg in the flux filled in a carbon steel shell by a specified quantity. SOLUTION: A wire fusion speed Wn (g/sec) is set to the value in a formula. In the formula, a welding current is I (A), a wire extension is L (mm), a wire diameter is d (mm), a coefficient A: 1-4.5, a coefficient B: 0.5-2.5. By weight for a wire total weight, flux contains at least one kind among 0.3-5% Ba compound in total (in the term of Ba weight), 0.5-4.5% Al, 0.1-2% Mg. It is preferable the flux contains, by weight for a wire total weight, 1-3.5% Ba F2, 1.5-4% Al, 0.3-1.5% Mg.
