A tapered wear liner and articulated connector using such a tapered wear liner are disclosed. The tapered wear liner (78) supports an annular bearing that supports the male connecting member (32) of the articulated connector (10). The female connecting member (34) has a complementary shaped groove (80) to receive the tapered wear liner (78).
