PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition having a high cation transference number and causing no problem, such as liquid leakage, when to be used as an electrolyte e.g. for electric cells by including a specific polymer and an alkali metal salt of a specific boron compound. SOLUTION: This composition comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of an ion conductive polymer, (B) 5-100 pts.wt. of an alkali metal salt of a boron compound having an benzene ring and/or a naphthalene ring and, as necessary, (C) a plasticizer (e.g. propylene carbonate). As the component A, e.g. a polyethereal polymer, such as polyethylene oxide, or a polyvinylidene fluoride-based polymer is pref. used. As the component B, e.g. an alkali metal salt of a tetradentate type complex, such as lithium bis[1,2-benzenedioxylato(2-)-O,O']borate or lithium bis[2,2'- biphenyldiolato(2-)-O,O']borate is used. |
