PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shield fitting structure for a helmet capable of readily attaching and detaching a cover veiling a fitting part of a shield and surely fixing the cover to fitting bases. SOLUTION: Fitting bases 7 are arranged at right and left sides of a helmet body. End parts of a shield are rotatably attached to the fitting gases 7. The end parts and the fitting bases 7 are covered with a detachable cover 21. The fitting parts 7 are equipped with receiving parts 22 and rocking and engaging parts 23 to be rockingly engaged with the receiving parts 22 are installed on the inside of the cover 21. The fitting bases 7 are equipped with engaging and receiving parts 31 and latching and engaging parts 32 to be engaged with the engaging and receiving part 31 are arranged on the inside of the cover 21. In a state of the rocking and engaging parts 23 engaged with the receiving parts 22 of the fitting bases 7, the cover 21 is rocked in the engagement direction of the latching and engaging parts 32, the latching and engaging parts 32 are engaged with the inside part of the fitting base 7 so that the fitting bases 7 can be attached to the cover 21.
