PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiant burner for increasing a radiant energy output amount and a radiation efficiency. SOLUTION: The film for a radiant gas burner comprises a woven fabric 18 of metal fibers in such a manner that the film has a surface including permanent waveform so that the degree of the waveform is decided at least 5% wider than a comparable flat film. In one preferred embodiment, an amplitude and a pitch of the waveform are formed so that heat is radiated during operation and reflected back and forth between side faces 24' and 24" of the waveform.
