PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a height meter with a stopper to which the gauge of a spring winding type scale is inversely attached so as to be a smaller numerical value from the tip to the origin. SOLUTION: For this spring winding type height meter, a hole 7 to be hooked to a hook is opened at the tip of the spring winding type scale whose gauge is inversely attached and is inserted to the hook 6 attached to a column or a wall, a meter body is pulled down and height is measured. At the time of using it alone, it is measured by using the stopper 2. At the time of not using it, it can be wound and attached to the hook 6 or detached.
