PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the corrosion of a rivet caused by potential difference and to improve its durability by subjecting the surface of a rivet connecting a case made of metal of a position signal generating switch and a cover block made of electric insulating resin to vapor deposition treatment of polyparaxylylene. SOLUTION: A cover block 1 composed of electical insulating resin and a case 2 made of metal are joined by a caulking rivet 8 putting through respective connecting holes 6 and 7. The space between the cover block 1 and the case 2 is freely rotatably stored with a movable body 3. A fixed contact 4 provided at the cover block 1 and a movable contact 5 provided at the movable body 3 are separated to generate a sift position signal. The caulking rivet 8 of the AT switch is formed of the material of aluminum, stainless steel, copper or the like, and, moreover, the surface is subjected to vapor deposition treatment of polyparaxylylene. In this way, the surface of the caulking rivet 8 is coated with a polyparaxylylene film to a thickness of 0.5 to 10μm at the adhesive strength so as to be peeled off by adhesive tape, and rust prevention is executed.
