CARBON FIBER CONTACT POSITION SENSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a contact position sensor having a carbon fiber contactor chip designed to have a long lifetime and wearability. SOLUTION: The position sensor comprises a housing and a resistance element 14 arranged on a substrate 16 fixed in the housing. A carbon fiber contactor 10 is fixed in the housing while having first and second beams 12 and a carbon fiber 23 fixed to respective end parts of these beams. The carbon fiber is in contact with the resistance element 14 electrically. The carbon fiber is fixed to the beam through conductive epoxy or by crimping. The contactor is fixed to a rotor or a drive arm.
