PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish high system gain, and also accomplish the optimum performance of a control loop for an electromagnetic actuator for active suspension. SOLUTION: An automatic gain control device AGC is provided for a control means for controlling an electromagnetic actuator DLMA for elevator active suspension in the horizontal direction. A gain is changeable by the coils of the electromagnets 26 and 28 of an electromagnetic actuator or the air gap of the electromagnetic actuator, or by both of them.
