POLYETHER-BASED COMPOUND, ITS PRODUCTION AND MEDICINE COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new polyether-based compound having safety and excellent pharmacodynamic properties, useful in the field of livestock industry, usable as an anticoccidium agent, a nematocide or an antimicrobial agent. SOLUTION: This compound is shown by formula I (R is H, 5-methoxy-6- methyl-2H-2-tetrahydropyranyl or an acyl; R1 to R3 are each H or a protective group; with the proviso when R is 5-methoxy-6-methyl-2H-2-tetrahydropyranyl, R1 and/or R2 is a protective group) I such as a compound of formula II. The compound of formula is obtained by introducing protective groups to the carboxyl group at the 1-position and the hydroxyl group at the 2-position of a compound of formula III (R3' is a protective), cleaving the ether bond at the 27-position of the compound to give a 27-hydroxyl compound, acylating the hydroxyl group at the 27-position and then eliminating the carboxyl protective group at the 1-position and the hydroxyl group at the 29-position.
