PURPOSE: Microparticles, up to 50 micrograms in size, comprising a therapeutic agent and a surfactant, the microparticles being homogeneously formulated with a hydrofluorocarbon propellant. CONSTITUTION: The microparticles have a particle size of up to 50 micrograms and comprise a therapeutic agent and a surfactant. The microparticles also comprise a wall forming agent. The components of the microparticles are normally soluble in water. The microparticles can be homogeneously formulated with a propellant. The propellant includes hydrofluorocarbon.
